Two hundred and twenty-three years ago, the Siege of Cornwallis at Yorktown began. It was the last battle of the first American War of Independence more commonly known as the Revolutionary War.
I say raise your glasses and toast the Great General, and a magnanimous one to the French as well. Most may despise them today, but their help should never be forgotten.
