Forty-two years ago:
"One small step for Man..."
And today, we have had the last launch of the shuttles. The Sleeping White Dragons are going back to sleep.
Do not fear though, as Charles Bolden, Jr, the Muslim Kenyan's appointment to head NASA told Al-Jeezera this last year.
Seven years ago, we watched the successful launch and flight of Space Ship One and this is the hope of Man- private space flight. Which is what it should have been all along.
And, as Heinlein often pointed out- Man must see where the Wild Geese go.
