REYNOSA — At least 85 inmates escaped Friday morning from a state prison in Reynosa, Mexican media reported Friday.
The prison break happened at the Centro de Ejecución de Sanciones, better known by the Mexican acronym CEDES.
The escape happened about 4:30 a.m., according to reports from the Reforma news agency in Mexico. Inmates jumped the fence with the help of ladders and personnel from the prison.
