Tucson shooting fires up gun debate
Tucson shooting fires up gun debateJoe Zamudio, a very typical CHL and American Man- but no matter what happens, no matter the outcome, no matter how heroic, tyrants and hoplophobes will ALWAYS demand that Freeman be debarred the use of arms- it is the only way they can put you in chains.
A bystander with a Ruger intent on ending the violence almost shot the wrong guy. But he made a split-second decision to keep the weapon in his pocket.
By Molly Hennessy-Fiske and Neela Banerjee, Los Angeles Times
January 14, 2011, 5:29 p.m.
Reporting from Tucson and Washington — Joe Zamudio was out buying cigarettes last Saturday when he heard what sounded like fireworks but quickly realized were gunshots. He reached into his coat pocket for the 9-millimeter semiautomatic pistol he carried, clicking the safety off.
He heard yelling around him: "Shooter, shooter, get down!"
Zamudio saw a young man squirming on the ground and an older man standing above him, waving a gun.
Zamudio, 24, had his finger on the trigger and seconds to decide.
He lifted his finger from the trigger and ran toward the struggling men.
As he grabbed the older man's wrist to wrestle the gun away, bystanders yelled that he had the wrong man — it was the man on the ground who they said had attacked them and U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). The gun the older man was holding had been wrestled away from the shooter. Police later identified 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner as the suspect.
"I could have very easily done the wrong thing and hurt a lot more people," said Zamudio, who helped subdue the suspect until authorities arrived.
The fact that Zamudio was carrying a gun, and his split-second decision to keep it in his pocket, has come to encapsulate the complexity of the national gun debate.
Gun rights advocates say his quick action showed that a well-armed — and well-trained — person could protect himself and the public.
But gun control advocates see Zamudio's story as an example of how Arizona's gun-friendly culture and lax gun laws have not only failed to make the streets safer, but also have potentially endangered lives.
"They always say, 'What if someone with a concealed weapon was there and could stop this,' " said Kristen Rand, legislative director for the Washington-based Violence Policy Center. "Well there was, and he almost shot the wrong person."
As for Zamudio, he said he was glad he had his gun that day and knows he did the right thing, even if he was not able to stop the shooting.
"I wish I had stopped him sooner," Zamudio said. "We're all responsible to help."
Again, I salute you Joe Zamudio and your fellow Arizonians who stood and did the right thing.

"Jared Loughner is a product of Sheriff Dupnik’s office"
This is the report that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has been dreading since the tragic event on Saturday January 8.Now, everyone will demand sources which is fully understandable and will point out that thechollajumps states the following in the comments:
The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.
Jared Loughner, pronounced by the Sheriff as Lock-ner, saying it was the Polish pronunciation. Of course he meant Scott or Irish but that isn't the point. The point is he and his office have had previous contact with the alleged assailant in the past and that is how he knows how to pronounce the name.
The source is confidential. The documentation never made it to public record as of yet. I imagine it will be part of the prosecutions case in the future. The FBI will have all of that documentation soon.WP

Filthy Muslim Bastard, False Flag Events, and the Communists in Washington, D.C.
All of his actions have been reported by many other blogs, "newspapers" and media so I will not repeat what has been said, read or posted.
I firmly think the so-called leaders were quite aware of Hassan, knew how to push his buttons, and more importantly- when.
Last night, Pelosi and her thieves voted to put each of us in chains, and enough is enough.
I strongly urge you to go and read this posted at the Smallest Minority, which I found via David Codrea posting about it here, who found it via Western Rifle Shooters Association here.
Read all the comments, draw your own conclusions and decide for yourselves- I already have.

Jiverly Voong = Revolving Joy
A friend down in the RGV sent this link which says the murder's name is Jiverly Voong and then also says it is an alias:
There is a whole lot that can be read into that but I think it best right now to just wait and get more facts.
WP
UPDATE
It seems that Jiverly Voong may be his name and the alias is Linh Phat Voong.
UPDATE II
I am hearing that he was Vietnamese and some of the victims were too.
Jiverly Wong?
Gunman Identified As Jiverly Voong, 42, Of Johnson CityHe also told me that the name seemed off and that he ran it through an anagram site and the first out of six is "Revolving Joy".

A gunman opened fire at an immigration services center in downtown Binghamton on Friday, killing 13 others before taking his own life, in what's being described as a "classic spree killing," according to CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.
A law enforcement official says the gunman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say the rampage began when the gunman barricaded the rear door of the American Civic Association building with his car before entering through the front door, firing his weapon, the official said.
Orr said a senior law enforcement official told him after entering the front of the building, the gunman shot the receptionist in head and killed two others at front desk.
The official then said the gunman went to the southwest corner of the building where citizenship tests were being taken. There he shot 11 people and then killed himself. Others in the building hid and barricaded themselves before SWAT teams swept through the building.
The official said the gunman, who was also carrying a bag with two guns -- a 9 mm with an extended clip, and a .45 mm, never took any hostages. He was also carrying a bag that had survival gear, extra ammunition and a hunting knife.
The dead gunman was carrying identification with the name Jiverly Voong, age 42, from upstate New York, reports CBS News correspondent Bob Orr. He apparently acted alone although investigators are still questioning a number of people who were inside. The motive is not known.
The name is an alias that the man has used in the past, said the official, who was not authorized to speak publicly and was talking on condition of anonymity.
There is a whole lot that can be read into that but I think it best right now to just wait and get more facts.

Why one should read the comments.
John Jacob H posted the following two links in David's comment section here and I am quite glad he did. Though very aware of the Merced, Commiefornia Pitchfork Killings, I had never seen the following to videos:
Part I
Part II
These killings have always angered; me even though there were always be insanity such as displayed by the Mad Dog who committed the heinous acts, but also that which is Commiefornia's Legislature, who, I think are fully complicit in the crime, but also that worthless, cowardly neighbor who knew that the insanity was occurring, was told by a pleading fourteen year old girl, and could not muster his MANHOOD to do that which was proper, true and right.
