Waiting until the regiment was almost upon him, Whittemore stood up, aimed his musket carefully and fired, killing a British soldier. He then fired both dueling pistols, hitting both of his targets, killing one man outright and mortally wounding another. Not having time to reload his cumbersome weapons, he grabbed his French saber and flailed away at the cursing, enraged Redcoats who now surrounded him. Some of those infuriated soldiers were probably less than one quarter of Sam's 80 years; few, if any, were even half his age.

One Englishman fired his Brown Bess almost point-blank into Whittemore's face, the heavy bullet tearing half his cheek away and knocking him flat on his back. Undaunted, Whittemore attempted to rise and continue the fight, but received no less than 13 bayonet wounds from the vengeful Redcoats. They also mercilessly clubbed his bleeding head and drove their musket butts into his body as they ran by.

When the last Britisher had left the scene and was far enough away for them to come out in safety, the villagers who had seen Whittemore's last stand walked slowly toward the body. To their astonishment, he was still alive and conscious--and still full of fight! Ignoring his wounds, he was feebly trying to load his musket for a parting shot at the retreating regiment.

Sixteen Illegal Indians Today

Today, September 21, 2010, sixteen illegal Sub-Continent Indians were released by ICE- captured by Border Patrol about twenty (20) days ago. Immediately at arraignment, a lawyer produced bond for everyone of them- each already highly coached on the correct answers that gets them bonded and released. They were held for twenty days (20), bonded and then released under their own recognizance. Why you ask? The Muslim Kenyan wants it so and says they are SUPPOSEDLY NO THREAT!



How many will actually show up for court hearing? Damn good question! I bet if we ask the Wetback Aunt Zeituni, she will say it does not matter because, "If I come as an immigrant, you have the obligation to make me a citizen."

Just remember folks, these are your stolen monies that are used against you to destroy the Republic. Expanded Border Patrol? BULLSHIT! Woefully undermanned and now the order comes down to cut overtime pay fifteen (15%) percent! Cut costs by sending out one vehicle staffed by two agents! [This essay was first published as a monograph in 1938, now republished in Ex-America, copyright Caxton Press.]

There are those who still think they are holding the pass against a revolution that may be coming up the road. But they are gazing in the wrong direction. The revolution is behind them. It went by in the Night of Depression, singing songs to freedom.

There are those who have never ceased to say very earnestly, "Something is going to happen to the American form of government if we don't watch out."
These were the innocent disarmers. Their trust was in words. They had forgotten their Aristotle. More than 2,000 years ago he wrote of what can happen within the form, when "one thing takes the place of another, so that the ancient laws will remain, while the power will be in the hands of those who have brought about revolution in the state."

Worse outwitted were those who kept trying to make sense of the New Deal from the point of view of all that was implicit in the American scheme, charging it therefore with contradiction, fallacy, economic ignorance, and general incompetence to govern.

But it could not be so embarrassed, and all that line was wasted, because, in the first place, it never intended to make that kind of sense, and secondly, it took off from nothing that was implicit in the American scheme.

It took off from a revolutionary base. The design was European. Regarded from the point of view of revolutionary technique, it made perfect sense.
Its meaning was revolutionary and it had no other. For what it meant to do, it was from the beginning consistent in principle, resourceful, intelligent, masterly in workmanship, and it made not one mistake.

The test came in the first one hundred days.

No matter how carefully a revolution may have been planned there is bound to be a crucial time. That comes when the actual seizure of power is taking place. In this case certain steps were necessary. They were difficult and daring steps. But more than that, they had to be taken in a certain sequence, with forethought and precision of timing. One out of place might have been fatal. What happened was that one followed another in exactly the right order, not one out of time or out of place.

Having passed this crisis, the New Deal went on from one problem to another, taking them in the proper order, according to revolutionary technique; and if the handling of one was inconsistent with the handling of another, even to the point of nullity, that was blunder in reverse. The effect was to keep people excited about one thing at a time, and divided, while steadily through all the uproar of outrage and confusion a certain end, held constantly in view, was pursued by main intention.

The end held constantly in view was power.

Not even a New Dealer any longer maintains that the four steps directly involving gold, namely, the seizure of it, the repudiation of the government's gold contracts, then the confiscation of the gold, and lastly the devaluation of the dollar, were necessary merely as measures toward national recovery. In the history of the case there is no more dramatic bit of testimony than that of Senator Glass, formerly Secretary of the Treasury, who in April, 1933, rose from a sick bed and appeared in the Senate to speak against the Inflation Amendment. He said,

"I wrote with my own hand that provision of the national Democratic platform which declared for a sound currency to be maintained at all hazards…. With nearly 40 per cent of the entire gold supply of the world, why are we going off the gold standard? With all the earmarked gold, with all the securities of ours they hold, foreign governments could withdraw in total less than $700,000,000 of our gold, which would leave us an ample fund of gold, in the extremest case, to maintain gold payments both at home and abroad…. To me the suggestion that we may devalue the gold dollar 59 per cent means national repudiation. To me it means dishonor. In my conception of it, it is immoral…. There was never any necessity for a gold embargo. There is no necessity for making statutory criminals of citizens of the United States who may please to take their property in the shape of gold or currency out of the banks and use it for their own purposes as they may please. We have gone beyond the cruel extremities of the French, and they made it a capital crime, punishable at the guillotine, for any tradesman or individual citizens of the realm to discriminate in favor of gold and against their printing press currency. We have gone beyond that. We have said that no man may have his gold, under penalty of ten years in the penitentiary or $10,000 fine."

And when the "gold cases" went to the United States Supreme Court — the unreconstructed court — the judgment was one that will be forever a blot on a certain page of American history. The Court said that what the government had done was immoral but not illegal. How could that be ? Because the American government, like any other government, has the sovereign power to commit an immoral act. Until then the American government was the only great government in the world that had never repudiated the word engraved upon its bond.

Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo.

In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that "suspected or known terrorists" have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.

All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.

Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: "I can't talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here's the future. The future is we have borders."

Just what does that mean, exactly?

We in the united States would like an honest answer to both your questions but do not think we will ever receive honest answers.

However, I will try to answer, as many of us firmly think she was hired by the Kenyan Muslim because of the following:

• She is a Democrat
• She is a Woman
• She seemingly hates Herself
• She seemingly hates the united States
• She seemingly hates our shared English history and Culture

As for what it means, many of us firmly think she & the Kenyan Muslim are attempting to mitigate the facts that:

• Mexico wants our borders erased
• Mexico wants the Southern US because we kicked it's ass and then paid for the land
• Mexican MIGRATION, not IMMIGRATION is part of the plan to do so
• She seemingly hates Herself
• She seemingly hates the united States
• She seemingly hates our shared English history and Culture

So much lost these past sixteen years since Waco, and so quickly, they that wish to see us enslaved, have acted. Since I posted this last year, the "masses" elected a Kenyan Muslim who attended, for 20+ years, a Hate Whitey Church in Chicago. The united States economy did exactly what several "paranoids" said would happen (one a presidential candidate) and has crashed. In doing so, the Kenyan Muslim, who attended that Hate Whitey Church in Chicago for 20+ years, has what amounts to nationalization of the automotive and baking industry. However, he was not the first; GW Bush started it last September so pick your poison- Socialist Party A or Socialist Party B.

The past three months, and especially this past week, what so many "propaganda foot soldiers" have tried to deny leaked out and have shown EXACTLY what the wannabe slave-owners in the swamp ACTUALLY think of we citizens, INCLUDING those men and women who are our soldiers.

We are their property- laughable, interchangeable, and quite frankly disposable. Just like Waco sixteen years ago in which the planning was done under George Herbert Walker Bush's ATF and carried out under William Jefferson Clinton's ATF and FBI lead by Janet1, and soon enough we will have another Waco, this time under Barack Hussein Obama's (a Kenyan Muslim), DHS led by Janet2.

However, this time, IT WILL NOT be ignored, left to slide, conveniently forgotten- no this time it is a trigger.

These feral agents received NO punishment for the crimes, as "We the People", though filled with righteous indignation, did nothing, even unto this day.
• In 1775 - Feral agents of the government came to take our arms away and the "Shot heard round the World" was answered by many great men. One in particular needs mentioning, as I am sure if he had been alive in 1993, he would have done the same thing.

His name was Sam Whittemore and:

"There, before the eyes of his astonished family, Sam methodically loaded his musket and both of his famed dueling pistols, put his powder and ball inside his worn and well-traveled military knapsack, strapped his French saber around his waist, squared his grizzled jaw and, as he strode briskly out the door, simply informed his worried family that he was "going to fight the British regulars" and told them to remain safely indoors until he returned.

Whittemore walked to a secluded position behind a stone wall on Mystic Street, near the corner of what is now Chestnut Street in Arlington, and calmly settled in. Some of the Minutemen pleaded with Whittemore to join them in their safer positions, but he ignored their admonitions. Soon the 47th Regiment of Foot, followed by the main body of British troops, appeared in view. On both sides of Whittemore, Minutemen were shooting at the approaching Redcoats and then sprinting away to where they could reload in safety.

Waiting until the regiment was almost upon him, Whittemore stood up, aimed his musket carefully and fired, killing a British soldier. He then fired both dueling pistols, hitting both of his targets, killing one man outright and mortally wounding another. Not having time to reload his cumbersome weapons, he grabbed his French saber and flailed away at the cursing, enraged Redcoats who now surrounded him. Some of those infuriated soldiers were probably less than one quarter of Sam's 80 years; few, if any, were even half his age.

One Englishman fired his Brown Bess almost point-blank into Whittemore's face, the heavy bullet tearing half his cheek away and knocking him flat on his back. Undaunted, Whittemore attempted to rise and continue the fight, but received no less than 13 bayonet wounds from the vengeful Redcoats. They also mercilessly clubbed his bleeding head and drove their musket butts into his body as they ran by.

When the last Britisher had left the scene and was far enough away for them to come out in safety, the villagers who had seen Whittemore's last stand walked slowly toward the body. To their astonishment, he was still alive and conscious--and still full of fight! Ignoring his wounds, he was feebly trying to load his musket for a parting shot at the retreating regiment.

A door was used as a makeshift stretcher and Whittemore was carried to the nearby Cooper Tavern. Doctor Nathaniel Tufts of Medford stripped away Sam's torn, bloody clothing and was aghast at his many gaping bayonet wounds, the other numerous bruises and lacerations, and his horrible facial injury. According to every medical text Tufts had ever studied and all of his years of experience treating injured people, the old man should have bled to death from internal injuries."

That old glorious bastard did not die though, he lived another eighteen (18) years and when asked if he ever regretted his actions, Sam replied:

"No! I would take the same chance again!"

Gunrunning sting nets 2

Two Mexican nationals accused of conspiring to export $2 million in firearms and ammunition to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, are in custody after a sting in El Paso.

Undercover federal agents posing as arms merchants nabbed the two men Saturday, wrapping up a rare five-month sting featuring real weapons as props and a wired warehouse.

In the end, the deal was drastically pared down on grounds that last month's deployment of Mexican infantry to stop the mayhem in Juárez made smuggling the load momentarily too risky, authorities said.

The sting, by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement task force in El Paso, may be a sign of more such efforts as federal authorities start a major crackdown on the smuggling of U.S. guns to drug cartels.

“We have a number of complex, ongoing investigations,” said Marcie Forman, director of the agency's office of investigations.

The arrests of Guadalajara residents Gabriel Gonzalez and Osvaldo Tostado come as the U.S. and Mexico intensify efforts to cut off smuggling.

Osvaldo Tostado? More propaganda:

Authorities said the deal originally involved 300 AR-15 or AR-16 assault-style rifles and 10 Barrett .50 caliber sniper rifles, all available in U.S. gun stores to adult U.S. citizens who pass an FBI background check.

It also involved a few military weapons not sold in stores, court records say, including two grenade-launching machine guns and illegal silencers for 20 handguns.

The investigation got under way in December, when a Mexican man known only as “R” asked undercover El Paso police narcotics officers for assault weapons they could smuggle into Juárez, an affidavit said.

The Police Department called in ICE's El Paso-based Border Enforcement Security Team, one of several multiagency task forces along the border that investigate large drug organizations.

The affidavit says a meeting was set up between two men and two undercover agents posing as arms merchants in Las Cruces, N.M..

The two men produced a shopping list of $2 million worth of firearms and ammunition, the affidavit said. The next month, it said, the two men delivered a down payment of $148,045 in a green duffel bag.

You have to remember, that the San Antonio Expressed Ooze was Rupert Murdoch's first purchase in the united States back in 1973 and has expressed a very anti-freedom victim disarmament attitude since. It is a mouthpiece for those who wish to see we Citizens become serfs.

Now, with that said, let us first take a look at this once again- Osvaldo Tostado. Never, ever have I heard the last name of TOSTADO, however I did a search via Google, and sure enough it is a last name (and to think all along I just knew it as a part of a Mexican dish or as a meal- 3 or 4 of them anyway).

OK, so that one is blown, however, this piece of propaganda shows either the stupidity of the editors but more than likely their agenda:

Once more, and AR-15 is NOT an Assault Rifle and the term itself is really not descriptive and the attempt to equate it with the M16 rifle, which is select-fire is blatant propaganda.

The Barret .50 caliber rifle is just a rifle and I no matter what so many clueless web pages tell you, just because you add a scope to a rifle, does NOT make it a "sniper rifle". It is the same type of propaganda as the terms Assault Rifle, EBR, or PIYPATSOT's.

Moreover, with all of the lies as of late, oh say like 90%, just exactly how much credence are you actually going to put into this report and it's timing. A feral government sting, two Mexican Nationals, and both governments, one feral & one failed- both with an agenda and both of them saying:

Smirking for the camera, this is the 20-year-old woman Mexican police caught guarding an extraordinary arsenal of weapons.

Anahi Beltran Cabrera was seized during a routine patrol in Sonora state, near the U.S. border.

Officers recovered a vast cache of weapons including an anti-aircraft gun capable of firing 800 shots per minute, a number of rifles and an array of ammunition.

They believe the haul belongs to a group allegedly linked to the powerful Beltan Leyva drug cartel.

Cabrera was paraded before the media - along with the weapons she was caught guarding.

Large swathes of Mexico have been ravaged by violence with drugs gangs battling for territory.

Last month, 2,000 soldiers and armed federal police were deployed into the border town of Ciudad Juarez to restore order to the country's most violent city.

In one month, 250 people were killed by hitmen fighting for lucrative smuggling routes.

MEXICO CITY (AP) - A woman was arrested guarding an arsenal that included an anti-aircraft machine gun—the first weapon of its kind seized in Mexico, police said Tuesday.

The arsenal belonged to a group linked to the powerful Beltran Leyva drug cartel, federal police coordinator Gen. Rodolfo Cruz said. It also included ammunition, five rifles, a grenade and part of a grenade launcher.

Mexican drug cartels, battling a fierce crackdown by soldiers and federal police, have increasingly gotten hold of higher-powered weapons, even military-grade arms such as grenades and machine guns. That has left police—particularly state and municipal forces—grossly outgunned, and many officers have quit following attacks.

Cruz said the confiscated .50-caliber, anti-aircraft machine gun can fire 800 rounds per minute and is capable of penetrating armor from more than 5,000 feet (1,500 meters). Police on a routine patrol Monday found the gun fitted atop an SUV at a house in northern Sonora state.

Authorities did not release any other details about the gun, including its make, where it was manufactured, or where it was sold.

The arrested suspect, Anahi Beltran Cabrera, apparently is not related to the Beltran Leyva clan, Cruz said.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has traced many guns seized at scenes of drug violence in Mexico to U.S. commercial sources. But determining the source of military-grade weapons such as grenades and fully automatic machine guns is more complicated.

The ATF says the grenades are mostly smuggled in through Central America, and have been traced back to the militaries of many countries, from South Korea to Spain and Israel. Some may be leftovers from the Central American civil wars.

Assailants have fired on government aircraft performing anti-drug missions in Mexico in the past, but apparently never with the caliber of weapon found Monday.

In 2006, a helicopter on a federal drug-eradication mission crashed while trying to escape ground fire, and a second helicopter was damaged by gunfire in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero.

Mexico is upgrading its northern and southern border checkpoints in an effort to detect and seize more guns and other contraband, installing equipment that will weigh and photograph each car and truck coming into the country.

President Barack Obama has promised to do more to stop gun trafficking from the United States to Mexico. He has pledged to dispatch nearly 500 more federal agents to the border, along with X-ray machines and drug-sniffing dogs.

Mexico's drug violence has claimed more than 10,650 lives since President Felipe Calderon launched a military-led offensive against trafficking cartels in December 2006.

In March, the government sent thousands more troops to the northern border to quell escalating violence. The government announced Sunday that drug-related homicides fell 26 percent across the country in the first three months of the year, compared to the same period in 2008.

That machine gun is John Moses Browning's M2 which is affectionately known as Ma Duece! I will wager that one was sold, or more than likely GIVEN, to the Mexican government by the the United States GOVERNMENT!

The few ammo boxes are mostly Sellior & Beloit and the "arsenal" they are displaying are standard issue GI Mags made by many different companies. Oh and just so you know there is not enough ammo displayed to fill those magazines.

The police booking photo of alleged child killer Nour Hadid released Tuesday is an "insult against our religion," says Hadid's husband, Alaeddin.

Orland Park police detectives say the 26-year-old Muslim woman was treated as any other suspect in a murder probe would be, and they did not intend to humiliate her when they photographed her Sunday without her headscarf and wearing only a skimpy top.

Nour Hadid is accused of beating her 2-year-old niece Bhia Hadid to death over four days at her home on the 9000 block of West 140th Street. The child had 55 separate bruises and was beaten "from head to toe," according to prosecutors, who say Hadid confessed.

But Alaeddin Hadid - who insists his wife is innocent - said Orland Park police are "really going to be in big trouble" for releasing the woman's booking photo to the news media after she was charged with first-degree murder.

The Hadids are Muslims and Nour "never leaves the home without covering up," said Alaeddin, who's vowed to sue.

By custom, some practicing Muslim women wear the hijab, or headscarf, and cover their arms and legs when in public.

In the mug shot, a bare-headed and obviously emotional Nour appears to be protecting her modesty with her hands.

"It is against our religion; we do not do this in our culture," Alaeddin said.

"People have been calling me about this all day."

No, you just beat children to death and then worry about pictures without scarves Alaeddin, newsflash, you are in OUR culture, OUR nation, OUR weay of life- not yours.

MEXICO CITY – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that America's "insatiable" demand for illegal drugs and inability to stop weapons smuggling into Mexico are fueling an alarming spike in violence along the U.S.-Mexican border.

Clinton said the United States shares responsibility with Mexico for dealing with the violence. She said the administration will work with Mexican authorities to improve security on both sides of the border.

"Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade," she said. "Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers and civilians."

"I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility," she told reporters accompanying her to Mexico City a day after the Obama administration said it would send more money, technology and manpower to secure the United States' Southwestern frontier and help Mexico battle the cartels.

Obama himself said Tuesday that he wanted the U.S. to do more to prevent guns and cash from illicit drug sales from flowing across the border into Mexico.

Fearing for their lives, affluent seek asylum in Houston, other Texas cities

Mexican businessman Jorge Hernandez abruptly relocated his family to Houston last year, terrified that family members would be abducted by kidnappers.

He had ample reason to be afraid. He left in August, days after a father was kidnapped for ransom as he dropped his child off at the same school Hernandez's children attended in a north Mexico city.

"One night, I told my wife 'Pack the bags — we’re leaving,'" Hernandez said. "The fear we felt caused us to get in the car and drive for 12 hours to get to Houston."

The 43-year-old businessman joined a growing number of affluent and middle-class Mexicans fleeing comfortable lives in Mexico for the comparative safety of Houston and other major Texas cities. They are desperate to escape an unprecedented wave of lawlessness in their home country where warring drug cartels — whose fighting claimed more than 6,000 victims last year — have also taken up kidnapping as a lucrative business.

The article concludes:

'Huge brain drain'

Ricardo Ainslie, a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, has produced a documentary on Mexico's kidnapping industry. He said the kidnappings have motivated many of the nation's leading professionals to leave.

"In Mexico, there is a real anxiety about it because it's a huge brain drain. The money and talent is leaving Mexico in huge numbers to San Diego, San Antonio and Austin," Ainslie said.

Hernandez said he had to leave Mexico when he saw the drug gang battles in the streets and the police and military presence. But while the family was drawn to Houston because of the culture and educational opportunities for his wife and three children, it has been hard to transition.

"Your family suffers," Hernandez said. "But when you turn on the TV and listen to the news from Mexico, that’s when you say to yourself you made the right decision to leave."

As I post this, there are 550 comments and many are spot on. A repeated idea in the comments is something that I think as well. It is your country, we know your loyalty will always be to Mexico, yet you flee.

For how MANY years did those fleeing use the Mordida System to benefit your business and families? You allowed it flourish, it has overtaken your FAILED STATE and now you come to your neighbor for help.

I have no sympathy whatsoever about you or your family's hardships, quite simply- FIX YOUR OWN HOME!

Washington contemplates deploying the Armed Forces for domestic law enforcement.

Americans have become so inured to the sight of federal troops fighting fires, rescuing flood victims from rooftops, and engaging in drug interdiction on the border that few eyebrows were raised when news broke that 20,000 active-duty infantry would soon be deployed on American soil for so-called homeland defense.

But critics say this development—announced by U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) in October—is unprecedented and further evidence of a military mission-creep into domestic affairs, particularly in areas for which the National Guard and Reserves are already suited.

"I don't get it. I don't understand why they are further encumbering active-duty brigades with this kind of mission," says Winslow Wheeler, author of America's Defense Meltdown: Pentagon Reform for President Obama and the New Congress and one of Washington's few civilian experts on the Pentagon's Byzantine budget. "It sounds like someone is expanding his empire."

Pentagon officials say that having a permanent, ready-reaction force capable of responding to a catastrophic event—natural or manmade—is a sensible and necessary outgrowth of post-9/11 national security. But the move has constitutional experts, civil libertarians, and retired and active military scratching their heads. Politicians are now demanding answers, wondering how close the military is to violating the Posse Comitatus Act, the 1878 federal law passed after Reconstruction to prevent federal troops from conducting domestic law enforcement. A separate Department of Defense directive prohibits the Navy and Marines from engaging in such activities.

Since Waco, I have been an ardent opponent of just such activities. I recall readily when Esequiel Hernandez was murdered by those three Marines- there was an uproar amongst a number of us here in Texas about this. However, memories fade and stories sometimes are never learned. Until we bring them up, and in fact, quite recently, I was called a liar when I related this event to a few people and when I presented the prrof, they never apologized to me, simply hung their heads. I understood thier thoughts as I had already had them myself, years before and the knowledge that more are waking up is enough for me- for now.

Reading the article in full brings up Craig Trebilcock who is quoted:

"These things don't happen in a vacuum," said Craig Trebilcock, an Army reservist and former JAG officer who shared his thoughts with TAC as a private citizen and attorney. The Bush administration's mindset, he added, was to chafe against "any significant restrictions on its use of active duty military forces in the continental U.S.—a tectonic shift from our previous history."

He wrote an article in October of 2000, which is also referenced in the above article, titled. The Myth of Posse Comitatus and from his first paragraph, he comes out swinging:

The Posse Comitatus Act has traditionally been viewed as a major barrier to the use of U.S. military forces in planning for homeland defense.[1] In fact, many in uniform believe that the act precludes the use of U.S. military assets in domestic security operations in any but the most extraordinary situations. As is often the case, reality bears little resemblance to the myth for homeland defense planners. Through a gradual erosion of the act’s prohibitions over the past 20 years, posse comitatus today is more of a procedural formality than an actual impediment to the use of U.S. military forces in homeland defense.

His article is well researched as his footnotes demonstrate and the article can be summed up in the second to last paragraph:

The erosion of the Posse Comitatus Act through Congressional legislation and executive policy has left a hollow shell in place of a law that formerly was a real limitation on the military's role in civilian law enforcement and security issues. The plethora of constitutional and statutory exceptions to the act provides the executive branch with a menu of options under which it can justify the use of military forces to combat domestic terrorism. Whether an act of terrorism is classified as a civil disturbance under 10 U.S.C., 331–334, or whether the president relies upon constitutional power to preserve federal functions, it is difficult to think of a domestic terrorism scenario of sizable scale under which the use of the military could not be lawfully justified in view of the act's erosion. The act is no longer a realistic bar to direct military involvement in counterterrorism planning and operations. It is a low legal hurdle that can be easily cleared through invocation of the appropriate legal justification, either before or after the fact.[12]

EL PASO, Texas -- President Felipe Calderon said corruption on this side of the border has hampered Mexico's effort to combat the drug cartels. The brunt of the violence is being felt across El Paso's border in Juarez where more than 200 people have died in the past two months.

"I think Calderon is making an assessment of the situation. He said there are several people responsible for this (drug violence), the American consumer is one, and an important one. He mentioned it first," said Tony Payan, UTEP political professor.

According to AFP News Agency, Calderon said the main cause of Mexican drug gang problems was quote "...having the world's biggest consumer (of drugs) next to us."

"If the American consumer was not there, and if the U.S. controlled the flow of guns, Mexico would be much better off. He did definitely say those things," said Payan.

Calderon is partially correct, we are the largest consumer nation (the States) of drugs, but he negates just exactly how much is actually being consumed in Mexico.

As for guns, a farmers not is all I have for you Felipe becuase your corrupt failed state will never get it's act together. SO many are already armed in your nation, and the weapons come from all over as I have already pointed out. You are nothing more than a puppet so the feral US governemnt can increase it's usage of the military across our land- from our great Texas borders all the way out to your prize of Mexifornia, but what more could I expect from another graudate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Things are happening so much quicker Paranoid readers, answers slip out and then are downplayed or just ignored- most of you are keenly aware of this and I do not need to point this out to most of you. However, it is for those that are not, eyes still closed and ears shut tight that I do.

The only answer I have right now is to keep preparing, keep your head down, and keep your eyes and ears open.

March of soldiers on the border?

A thank you to a South Texas Grackle who sent the following along to me tonight, and before you read it, understand that it is from one source, but it fits with what is being reported across the web about Northern Mexico.

"Sources at Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx state that the Mexican Army is poised to move troops to the Reynosa/Matamoros area with roughly 1500-2000 troops being sent to Matamoros. The goal is to create a pincer movement to put the squeeze on the cartels. The troop movement will occur after the Troops in the Southern part of Mexico finish up with the crop burning detail they are currently engaged in.

Look for a push against the cartels in the next few weeks.

On the US side, we are on high alert and have deployed rapid response teams, very much like SWAT from all over the country. They are manning the bridges 24/7 and can be seen wearing full tactical gear and carrying M4’s- of course, all personnel are wearing body armor."

Mexico has pretty much always been a rough-and-tumble place. In recent years, however, the security environment has deteriorated rapidly, and parts of the country have become incredibly violent. It is now common to see military weaponry such as fragmentation grenades and assault rifles used almost daily in attacks.

Make no mistake, considering the military weapons now being used in Mexico and the number of deaths involved, the country is in the middle of a war. In fact, there are actually three concurrent wars being waged in Mexico involving the Mexican drug cartels. The first is the battle being waged among the various Mexican drug cartels seeking control over lucrative smuggling corridors, called plazas. One such battleground is Ciudad Juarez, which provides access to the Interstate 10, Interstate 20 and Interstate 25 corridors inside the United States. The second battle is being fought between the various cartels and the Mexican government forces who are seeking to interrupt smuggling operations, curb violence and bring the cartel members to justice.

While millions of U.S. citizens safely visit Mexico each year (including thousands who cross the land border every day for study, tourism or business), violence in the country has increased recently. It is imperative that travelers understand the risks of travel to Mexico, how best to avoid dangerous situations, and whom to contact if one becomes a crime victim. Common-sense precautions such as visiting only legitimate business and tourist areas during daylight hours, and avoiding areas where prostitution and drug dealing might occur, can help ensure that travel to Mexico is safe and enjoyable.

Crime and Violence Throughout Mexico

The greatest increase in violence has occurred near the U.S. border. However, U.S. citizens traveling throughout Mexico should exercise caution in unfamiliar areas and be aware of their surroundings at all times. Mexican and foreign bystanders have been injured or killed in violent attacks in cities across the country, demonstrating the heightened risk of violence in public places. In recent years, dozens of U.S. citizens have been kidnapped across Mexico. Many of these cases remain unresolved. U.S. citizens who believe they are being targeted for kidnapping or other crimes should notify Mexican officials and the nearest American consulate or the Embassy as soon as possible, and should consider returning to the United States.

About 40 pounds of cocaine were seized Friday in two separate border inspections.

Customs and Border Protection officers found a cocaine package hidden in the oil pan of a Jeep Cherokee on the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge, a CBP news release says. Anita DePlanty, 30, of Houston, was arrested on federal drug charges.

Two hours later, officers working at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge found 11 packages of cocaine hidden in the wheel well of a Ford EcoSport. Two Reynosa residents, Ernesto Hernandez Aguilar, 28, and Blas Zuniga Torres, 24, were arrested on drug charges.

The street value for both seizures is $1.3 million.

Then Sunday, the San Juan, Texas police nabbed an 18-wheeler with $3.5 million in cocaine:

SAN JUAN — Police pulled over a tractor-trailer Sunday that was carrying a load of cucumbers - and about $3.5 million worth of cocaine.

The traffic stop occurred about 4:23 p.m. on the 1400 block of the eastbound Expressway 83 frontage road, said Investigator Rolando Garcia, a San Juan police spokesman.

A San Juan patrol sergeant saw the driver of the semitrailer fail to use his turn signal during a lane change on the frontage road, so the officer pulled over the rig, according to a police statement.

U.S. Border Patrol agents seized more than 2 tons of marijuana Thursday after spotting several men loading a GMC cargo van with the narcotics.

Agents from the Rio Grande City station seized the 166 bundles of marijuana while conducting surveillance along the Rio Grande, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The men fled toward Mexico when the agents approached the van and identified themselves.

No one was arrested.

The 4,159 pounds of marijuana seized by the agents has an estimated street value of more than $3 million.

However, all of this pales in comparison with the knowledge that the Mayor of Ciudad Juarez is alive and well- in El Paso Texas:

EL PASO -- Police are investigating threats against Juárez Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz, who moved his family to El Paso for safety, El Paso police Detective Carlos Carrillo said Monday.

"We received information that the Juárez mayor lives in El Paso, and that possibly they were going to come to El Paso to get him," Carrillo said. "He has not asked us for our help, but it's our duty to protect any resident of our city who may be under threat."

Juárez police said written threats against Reyes Ferriz and his family were left in different parts of Juárez after the police chief, Roberto Orduña Cruz, resigned Friday. The threats were written on the kind of banners and posters that the Juárez drug cartel has used to send messages to police and others.

Meanwhile, Mexican authorities were unraveling a shooting Sunday in Chihuahua City that killed one of Chihuahua Gov. Jose Reyes Baeza Terraza's bodyguards.

Alejandro Chaparro Coronel died while defending another state agent in a convoy. He was a commander who served on the Chihuahua state police force for 11 years.

The assailants wounded two other bodyguards, both also members of the state police.

Mexican officials said police returned fire and wounded one suspect, Eduardo Hernandez Valdez, 36. He served in the Mexican army from 2001 to 2003.

Sorry to read of the death of his bodyguard, and my condolences go out to his family, but I must confess, the stupidest thing about all of this is the Department of Homeland Security:

Homeland Security official affirms Mexican drug cartel violence has spilled over into Texas

AUSTIN -- Violence from Mexican drug cartels has spilled over into Texas, state Homeland Security Director Steve McCraw said Monday.

"Yes, absolutely it has occurred; there's no question about it," McCraw said after a hearing before the House Committee on Border and International Affairs.

(02-20) 11:29 PST OAKLAND -- A 23-year-old visitor from the East Coast had just gotten money from an ATM when he told his friend on a cell phone that he had a bad feeling about two men approaching him at the Fruitvale BART Station in Oakland.

His worst fears were realized when one suspect, Victor Veliz, 18, held a folding knife with a 5-inch blade to his neck and the other, Christopher Gonzalez, 18, threatened to shoot him Thursday night, authorities said.

In a blind panic, he lashed out at his attackers, grabbing the knife from one of them and punching the other as his friend listened in horror on the phone.

Without realizing it, authorities say, the man stabbed Gonzalez in the chest. Gonzalez stumbled to his family's home around the corner, collapsed into his father's arms and died.

Veliz, who is affiliated with a gang, was arrested at Gonzalez's home after police allegedly found him with the East Coast visitor's cell phone. He will be charged with murder in the death of his accomplice, along with a robbery count, prosecutors said.

Folks, the U.S.A. entered WWII on Dec. 8, 1941 and the surrender of Japan was signed on August 15, 1945. We fought, won and ended a WORLD WAR in just short of 3 years and 9 months. I demand to know WHY in the hell we can’t wage war, win and sign a peace treaty in Iraq and Afghanistan after 7 1/2 years of total fighting time! I want someone in command, like the guy at the very top of the chain to tell me, make me understand what is wrong!

(CNN) -- A shootout in a border city that leaves five alleged drug traffickers sprawled dead on the street and seven police wounded. A police chief and his bodyguards gunned down outside his house in another border city. Four bridges into the United States shut down by protesters who want the military out of their towns and who officials say are backed by narcotraffickers.

That was Mexico on Tuesday.

What is most remarkable is that it was not much different from Monday or Sunday or any day in the past few years.
