The 2nd Amendment is about hunting- tyrants and the rest who would enslave us.

The following are but three paragraphs that prove this point:

George Mason argued the importance of the militia and right to bear arms by reminding his compatriots of England's efforts "to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them . . . by totally disusing and neglecting the militia." He also clarified that under prevailing practice the militia included all people, rich and poor. "Who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers." Because all were members of the militia, all enjoyed the right to individually bear arms to serve therein.

The framers thought the personal right to bear arms to be a paramount right by which other rights could be protected. Therefore, writing after the ratification of the Constitution, but before the election of the first Congress, James Monroe included "the right to keep and bear arms" in a list of basic "human rights" which he proposed to be added to the Constitution.

Patrick Henry, also in the Virginia convention, eloquently argued for the dual rights to arms and resistance to oppression: "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined." Thus, they agreed that an armed populace was the ultimate check on tyranny.

However, it is also about the simple enjoyment of honing a skill, friendship, fellowship, food, defense and family.

Just understand that this truth terrifies so many- especially those elected who desperately want the 2nd INFRINGED, but this is but a part of the price of our Liberties; the risk that such can happen as is happening with each ticking minute.

This point cannot be expressed strongly enough- the 2nd Amendment is a Right. Rights are not granted by Man or governments- but are yours at conception (as Nature and Natures God intended) the basic Right to self-defense. As of today, the best tools to do this are firearms, along with the supporting accessories for them (which include the various types of ammunition and even the magazines that hold such), irrespective of the advancement since the 2nd was penned to parchment, and cannot be done away with- simply INFRINGED or ABRIDGED.

As Patrick Henry stated:

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."

NONE of us really wants to ever have to use it for hunting such and nor am I advocating doing such now; nevertheless, the primary purpose IS to remind those elected, and those wishing to enslave the populace (not all are elected- just supported by your stolen productivity), that the People fully retain the right to hunt tyrants down- permanently.

The death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent north of Nogales, Ariz., on December 14, 2010 might turn out to be the death knell for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or ATF.

Allegations have surfaced suggesting that one of the guns used by Mexican bandits during the firefight in which Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed might have been smuggled into Mexico with the knowing assistance of ATF officials. If these allegations prove to be true, it is quite possible that the long troubled agency could be dismantled. Even if there proves to be no connection with Agent Terry's death, the scrutiny generated by an investigation could crash the agency.

There are actually four separate but connected accusations against ATF officials: First, that they intentionally arranged to have hundreds of firearms "walked" across the U.S. border into Mexico. Second, that they instructed U.S. gun dealers to proceed with questionable and illegal sales of firearms to suspected gunrunners. Third, that they intentionally withheld information about U.S.-sanctioned gun smuggling from the Mexican government. Fourth, that one of the guns ATF allowed or helped to be smuggled into Mexico was involved in the death of Agent Terry.

When I wrote the post below -- "Yogi Berra was right. Rumor of a big, bad ATF bust early next week." -- around midnight last night, I was acutely aware of the slippery ground upon which this shadow war for the truth of Operation Gunwalker and the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry is being fought.

Rumors can be -- and often are -- floated like dye in the sewer, just to see where it goes to close down leaks. Given the high stakes of the games being played behind the scenes by the White House and their Justice Department minions desperate to stop the truth from coming out, this is certainly a concern. But when a rumor -- any rumor -- comes from multiple sources, sources which have always been right in the past, sources who do not know each other, it is less likely to be disinformation dye and more likely to be the real turd.

Expect stupidity, incompetence and lies from F-Troop as they got their own killed before and I expect the same in the future.

Though, what amazes me the most, is why the Border Patrol Agents Union is not screaming louder for answers because this relates directly to the murder of BP Agent Brian Terry.

Ashley Turton and the searches for information on her- like the Adfero Groups.

I have posted previously on Ashley Turton, here and here and today I see that the PR Firm Adfero Group stopped by today to look at the result of their search on Ashley Turton.



They seemingly did not stay long but the name was curious since they are out from the Swamp, I decided to look a bit at who they are.

The first hit I found is from the DESMOBLOG which states they are:

The FACES website, which includes no contact information, is registered to Adfero.

[Update: since we posted this article, the website registration for facesofcoal.com has been updated overnight and Adfero's name has been wiped, however - thanks to research by one of our most loyal readers, Frank Bi, a cross-reference with Adfero's IP address still shows facesofcoal.com running on their server.]

FACES describes itself as "an alliance of people from all walks of life who are joining forces to educate lawmakers and the general public about the importance of coal and coal mining." But Adfero's client list includes Koch Industries and the US Chamber of Commerce, two leaders in the fight to confuse, distort and deny the science of climate change - and especially to block government action that might affect their bottom line.

FACES' coming-out press release claimed the new group consists of, "Some 70 different organizations and individuals representing a broad cross-section of people and communities throughout the Appalachian region are the coalition's first members. Any individual, business or organization can join FACES of Coal."

But Adfero doesn't specialize in spontaneous public advocacy. It specializes in crafting a "custom-tailored message" and then recruiting "key contacts" who can slam that message home. Here, from Adfero's own website, is their own version:

"At the end of the day, it's all about relationships. From policymakers to homemakers, people respond best when the message is delivered by someone they know and trust.

"That's where traditional grassroots outreach comes in. Adfero is able to tap an impressive network of national, state and local contacts to deliver your custom-tailored message. We’ll identify and recruit local constituents, opinion leaders, community activists or political operatives to engage in activities designed to get attention and results. We have access to key contacts on the ground who can conduct intercepts with elected officials at speeches, rallies, local town hall meetings and other events."

Interesting, and even more so when I found the following link in the comments there.

This may seem trivial, but the logs have been full of search hits about Ashley Turton and some examples are the Executive Office of the President, the CIA (on a Blackberry no less), DHS and other 3 Letter Agencies, the BATFE, several K-Street Groups (like Adfero), and others just seemingly interested.

The major media has been very quiet about Ashley Turton's death and the unusual circumstances and the fine folks at FreeRepublic are posting some interesting information in the threads (1, 2, 3).

Go, read, learn and ask some questions as this is becoming curiouser and curiouser.

Tell us Sergeant Rudy Luna, just where in the Constitution does it say our servants get to tell the citizen what he needs or doesn't need? Or you Katie, asking someone who does not speak a word of English (though you have the text on your site transcribed instead of in Spanish as in the video) which creates doubt as to his citizenship, why his opinion matters? You see Katie, that man, is seemingly Mexican and everyone knows in Mexico, you cannot own a gun without government approval which makes it damnably easy for them to control and dictate to its subjects what THEIR needs are.

Continue to try to justify your well fed existence Sergeant Rudy Luna and keep promoting the War On Some Drugs- however, we know what you spout, "Only One", is a lie. Are you really happy wiping your well fed ass with the Constitution and Bill of Rights?
